Vol. 1 of the four-volume series Eismeerjäger, JG 5, is divided into two parts:
1. The destroyer squadron – a war diary.
2. The Jabo-Staffel… Jagdgeschwader 5 had to monitor and protect the German sea space off the Norwegian coast.
Interesting: 2 previously unknown photos of the Bismarck, their journey into the Atlantic. Up to the limit of the range, the machines flew escort. The JG 5 also was used in northern Finland/Lapland.
The volume shows about 300 photos, of which about 90% are previously unpublished.

2. Die Jabo-Staffel … Das Jagdgeschwader 5 hatte den deutschen Seeraum vor der norwegischen Küste zu überwachen und zu schützen.
Interessant: 2 bisher unbekannte Fotos der Bismarck, deren Fahrt in den Atlantik. Bis zur Grenze der Reichweite flogen die Maschinen Geleitschutz. Außerdem war es in Nordfinnland/Lappland eingesetzt.
Der Band zeigt ca 300 Fotos, davon ca 90% bisher unveröffentlicht und enthält eine Verlustliste.
