With approx. 365 photos, of these 175 contemporary photos from manuals, combat and war fronts in b/w, most of them previously unpublished, 150 colour photos of restored vehicles and their components in public and private collections, 40 colour photos of the four models from T.Greenland & V.Branigan, English German captions, 58 pages English German text with 5 tables, 28 pages of scale drawings of all versions and details in 1:35 scale from Lieven DeConinck, 18 camouflage schemes from Carlos Vaquerizo with tactical and units signs, for the first time detailed camouflage scheme of the production companies and 3 tables of organization of units (Kriegstärke-Nachweisungen KStN) having these vehicles in their arsenal.
As previously announced we continue with part 2 on the history of the Jagdpanzer IV. This describes the two versions developed by the companies VOMAG and ALKETT, both types were armed with the 7.5 cm Pak 42 L/70, an anti-tank gun that derived from the famous gun of the Panther. If you take into account that the series production of both versions did not commence until August 1944, it is really surprising that by the end of the war (only 8 months later,) 970 VOMAG and 277 ALKETT vehicles with this armament were built. However, both versions had no major impact on the course of the war.
With 393 photos (160 historic, 19 model, 214 modern), 42 blueprints, 17 camouflage schemes, tactical markings, table of organsisation (KStN).

One of the most interesting military vehicle developments of the German Reichswehr and Wehrmacht was without doubt the halftrack tractors. Basing on experiences from the First World War the development started at the end of the 1920s. From the six types of un-armoured halftrack vehicles (1 tonne 3 tonne 5 tonne 8 tonne 12 tonne/ 18 tonne) developed from the early years and beginning in 1930, the main vehicle was the 8 ton halftrack Sd.Kfz. 7. This vehicle, which served in many differing deployments, and which had the highest production numbers, was produced from 1935 1945. Dr. Nicolaus Hettler, who has already described the halftrack vehicles 18 tonne Sd.Kfz.9 (N&B 12) 12 tonne Sd.Kfz.8 (N&B 16) und 3 tonne Sd.Kfz.11 (N&B 20), continues these series with the halftrack 8 tonne Sd.Kfz.7 (N&B 34).
