Deutsche Kriegsschiffe -Das kaiserliche Ostasien-Geschwader 1859-1914
19,94 €Because Imperial Germany wanted to become a world power, it tried to be present on all the world’s oceans and to acquire colonies. The naval units should protect them, enforce claims and show strength. They did not always have pure representational measures, as the Boxer Rebellion proves.
In this new publication, naval expert Hans Karr dedicates himself to Germany’s maritime colonial history. He describes the foreign cruisers and stations, the naval base Tsingtau, the East Asian cruiser squadron from 1897 to 1914 and its ships of the Asian and Australian stations. -
Panzerbüchsen seit 1918 – Entwicklung – Typen – Technik
19,94 €With rifles against tanks: When the British introduced a new weapon with their tanks on the battlefields of the First World War in 1916, the infantry could do little to counter the steel monsters. The German War Ministry responded with mauser’s anti-tank rifle.
This was followed by a development towards ever larger and heavier anti-tank rifles, until they were replaced by recoilless anti-tank handguns. But in the 1980s, the concept experienced a renewal with the modern anti-material rifles.
With 200 pictures.
