    This richly illustrated book provides an overview of the planning and construction of Japanese submarines from the import of the Holland class 1904-05 to the large and small underwater high-speed boats of the classes I 201 and Ha 201 around the year 1945. Three classes are described in detail, and reference is made to four others, which are dealt in other publications of the author – three of them in this publishing house.
