The book is the standard work on the FW 190 and its variants. Each chapter beginns with an in depth analysis of a particular variant. This is followed by a comprehensive picture-part, which contains mostly unpublished photos (alltogether 762 b/w photos). On the last pages of the book there are 29 excellent color-artworks made by Claes Sundin (therefore see also the titles: „Luftwaffe Fighter Aircraft in Profile“ and „More Luftwaffe Fighter Aircraft in Profile“)
